$100 First Prize – $75 2nd & 3rd Prizes

People have been asking, so Chesapeake Ghost Walks is responding. We will be selling T-shirts this year to guests and fans (and the general public) but we wanted them to stand out from other  company t-shirts that feature nothing but a boring logo. We’ll slap our logo on the back, but we want something catchy and “ghostly” for the front. So we’re tossing this out to you, our friends and fans. Send them some catchy designs and you might be a winner.

Send us some catchy designs and you might be a winner.

Today, April 1st we launch the Chesapeake Ghost Walks T-shirt design contest.  For the next 3 weeks we’ll be accepting design entries from entrants who want to have a shot at having their design on T-shirts sold all over the Shore (and the world…. cuz we’re online .. with a shopping cart .. and we’ll ship anywhere).

CASH PRIZES – and fame.. sort of.

There is a cash of $100 for first place and two has prizes of $75 for second and third place (Sponsored by Choptank  Communications and Aflac Team Sack)  for 2nd & 3rd Place. And that may not seem like a big sum, but in addition to the cash, winners will also be announced on our website, Facebook pages and in our newsletter – (over 30,000 in local exposure) and might just see their designs worn by some of the thousands of people that attend the Chesapeake Ghost Walks each year

You get bragging rights for life. .. or as long as we’re selling T-shirts.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re interested in having something catchy, memorable and fun that says “Ghosts on the Eastern Shore.”  Think…. what represents the Eastern Shore?  What says “ghost” or “spirits”? Then merge those together into one design that will fit easily on the front of a T-shirt.

For inspiration check out OUR TOWNS on this website. Each town page shows a collection of buildings and images that are linked to that town’s ghost walk. You can incorporate a sketch of a famous building, or use one of the sites as a basic concept to start your design.

Consider some of our more famous haunted buildings – Teakle Mansion, the Snow Hill Inn,  Ananias Crockett House, The Eagle House in St. Michaels, Josiah Bayly House in Cambridge, the Marva Theater in Pocomoke, or the  child Spirit at the Atlantic Hotel

Or consider some of the iconic haunted landmarks like the grave at Captain’s Hill, the Pocomoke Forest, or Ocean City’s Laughing Sal, or  The Batwings headstone from the lost city of Dover.or Trimpers Carousel or the Indian at the Inlet.

Use your imagination and create one high resolution (600 dpi) file in .tif .ai .psd or jpg of forrmat of that design.

What we’re NOT looking for…

Anything morbid – no zombies, blood, hangings, weapons, headless bodies. We want the theme to be haunted, historical, mystical and fun with a “feel” that says Eastern Shore.
